Houghton and Sunderland South MP, Bridget Phillipson has been asked by the influential Transport Select Committee to contribute to its inquiry into bus services outside London.

In addition to publishing the results of ‘The Big Bus Survey’, Bridget is asking for local people put their views directly to the committeethrough aspecial edition of ‘The Big Bus Survey’.

The deadline for completing the special edition of ‘The Big Bus Survey’ isTuesday 10th May.

Bridget said:“This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to make their voice heard about the bus services which matter to them.

“By completing the survey on my site local people will be helping the Transport Select Committee to hold the Department for Transport and its policies to account.

‘This just shows when local people make their voice heard through survey’s like ‘The Big Bus Survey’ it does make a difference and will help change things for the better.”
