Houghton and Sunderland South MP Bridget Phillipson has taken part in a question and answer session with pupils from Our Lady Queen of Peace School in Penshaw.

Year 5 pupils, many of whom had visited Parliament earlier in the year, asked Bridget a range of questions from her as a constituency MP to her views on education.

Following the visit Bridget Phillipson MP said:

“I enjoyed meeting with year 5 children at Our Lady Queen of Peace School. Many of the pupils had visited Parliament on an educational visit and had lots of challenging questions.

“Support for travel costs is often available through Parliament’s Education Service and I’d encourage local schools that might be interested to get in touch.”

Further information on school visits can be found here.
