Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South
Bridget was invited to speak at the Annual Vigil for Human Rights at Sunderland Minster organised by the United Nations Association in Sunderland.
Bridget said:
“It was a moving service where we could all reflect on what has been achieved in the last year, but it also reminded us of the challenges we still face in many parts of the world. It was a privilege to take part in the service and I look forward to continuing to work with the UN Association and Amnesty International in Sunderland.”
