Houghton and Sunderland South MP, Bridget Phillipson has launched The Big Bus Survey (www.thebigbussurvey.co.uk) to help local residents make their voice heard over changes to bus services.

The Big Bus Survey allows local residents to give their feedback about the bus services which matter to them. Bridget will present the results of the survey to the bus companies and ask them to implement its findings.

Bridget said:

“Increasing investment in our local area is a top priority for me. A convenient, reliable and interconnected transport system will go a long way to delivering the jobs and encouraging the investment we need in the North East.

“Buses already play a vital part in enabling residents to go to school, to work, or to visit friends and family, but I want them to be better.

“The Big Bus Survey is a chance for local residents to have their say about the services they use which matter to them and the changes and improvements they would like to see.”
