“The Committee’s report today is very clear. G4S put the successful running of the Olympics at risk by through poor management, oversight and transparency which led to it failing to deliver the required number of Olympic security personnel.
“Questions now remain about compensationfor those applicants to G4S who successfully completed the training and accreditation process but were not scheduled for work because of G4S management failings.
“G4S have made clear they expect to be paid a £57 million management fee. The Committee does not agree with G4s’s assessment and have recommended they forego this fee to show the company is serious about making good for its mistakes. The government should not be in the business of rewarding failure.”
