Bridget Phillipson MP said:
“After speaking to residents, I visited the streets to see the conditions for myself. I’ve been in regular contact with the city council to press the case for action to address the issues that residents had raised with me.
“I welcome the council’s decision to undertake a feasibility study.
“I’m pleased that owners and tenants will be fully consulted on the study’s recommended preferred option.
“I hope that residents will see a great improvement in their living conditions and the area as a result of this.”
The study forms part of the Hetton Downs Housing Delivery Plan.”
