Bridget_Phillipson_Benedict_Biscop_05-04-2017.jpgOn 5 April 2017, Bridget Phillipson, Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South, visited Benedict Biscop C. E. Academy to meet with Principal Paula Thompson and year 6 pupils.

During the visit, Bridget discussed her work in Parliament with the pupils, as well as local issues.

Speaking afterwards, Bridget Phillipson MP said:

“It was a please to visit Benedict Biscop C. E. Academy today.

“I enjoyed hearing a different range of views from pupils and speaking with Mrs Thompson about the work the school is doing and the funding challenges facing all schools.

“I want to thank everyone for taking the time to meet with me and wish the children all the best for the future. They are a credit to their school.”
