I recently visited Farringdon Academy to chat with pupils about my work as an MP ahead of UK Parliament Week, an initiative which raises awareness about the integral role Parliament plays in our democracy, and how local people can engage with it.
While I was there I was quizzed by the school council on the issues of the day and my role as their local MP. I was very impressed at the high standard of the questions asked.
The children I spoke with are a credit to their school, and I would like to thank all the staff at Farringdon Academy for making this visit possible.
