This week, I presented petitions to Parliament on behalf of local nursery schools and nearly 400 members of our community. These raise concerns about the future of our nursery schools due to the government’s failure to guarantee their funding beyond 2020.

Local nursery schools are assets to our area and help give children the best start in life. Ministers must listen and act to provide much-needed certainty over funding, and I’ll keep fighting to ensure a secure future for our nursery schools.
