Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South
Last weekend, I held my latest coffee morning at Penshaw Community Centre.
It was great to see so many constituents come along, and we had a lively and productive discussion on a range of local and national issues, including anti-social behaviour, Universal Credit, policing, homelessness and Brexit.
We were also joined by Sgt Simon Marshall and PC Stuart Conway from Northumbria Police, who updated us on what they are doing to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour locally. Despite increased pressures and reduced resources, our police officers do an incredible job keeping us safe.
I’d like to thank all constituents who came along. I hold similar events throughout the year, and if you’d like to attend my next one, please email me at: bridget.phillipson.mp@parliament.uk
