This week marked Volunteers’ Week, which presented an opportunity to pay tribute to the invaluable work that all volunteers do throughout the year, both in our community and across the country.

Through my many visits to local groups, I see at first-hand the impact that volunteers make. From youth groups, to support for families living in poverty, to care for our older residents who may be feeling isolated and much more besides. I’d like to thank all of those who give their time freely to make our area a great place to live with such a strong sense of community spirit.
