As part of my work in the constituency I regularly visit local schools, and I recently paid a visit to Thorney Close Primary School.

I received a tour of the school, and visited each class to meet children and staff, where I participated in several lessons. Year 6 children took part in a Q&A session, where they asked lots of interesting questions about my role as an MP. I was impressed by the enthusiasm and hard work of the children, and the commitment of the staff team to ensuring all the children have the best start in life.

I’m also looking forward to welcoming children from the school to Parliament later this month.

I would encourage any other schools interested in arranging a visit to Parliament to contact my office for more information – there is often funding available to help with this. You can find out more through this link: https://www.parliament.uk/…/visit-parliament-with-your-sc…/…
