Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South
Today I visited Grace House, a respite and short break facility based in Sunderland for children and young people with complex disabilities, health needs and life-limiting conditions.
Grace House provides overnight short breaks for children and young people, and regular day trips. They also offer additional services to families with disabled children, including counselling, support groups and family activities.
It was inspiring to see the extraordinary work carried out by staff, who are committed to making a real difference to the lives of children and their loved ones. Thank you to everyone at Grace House who made this visit possible. Learn more about their work here: http://www.gracehouse.co.uk/
