Tonight marks the opening ceremony of Houghton Feast. As always, I am proud to attend and support this important community event, which this year has moved online.

I am grateful to everyone who has made this event possible this year, and I am honoured to be delivering a reading at the Civic Ceremony on Sunday morning. Houghton Feast has brought local people together in our community for over 800 years, and I am sure this year we will come together once again.
