Last year a number of constituents contacted me to express their concern about the proposed closure of Hetton-le-Hole Nursery School and Childcare.

I know this news has caused significant worry in our community, and I have been in regular contact with Sunderland City Council to ensure constituents are kept updated with any developments.

I would like to stress again that no decision has yet been taken. However, Sunderland City Council have now launched their public consultation on this matter, which will run until 14th February.
