Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South
During the latest lockdown, working parents are once again being caught having to juggle between work and childcare, placing many under severe financial pressure and at risk of being forced out of work entirely.
Yesterday, on BBC Politics North I urged the Government to do more to support working parents, to ensure nobody has to choose between their job and supporting their children.
Another lockdown means yet more pressure on parents — especially mothers.
