Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South
Thank you to everyone who attended my latest Zoom community catch-up this morning. It was another great meeting where a range of issues were covered, including anti-social behaviour, fly tipping and support for businesses during lockdown. As ever, it was good to keep hearing from you all and discuss your thoughts on local priorities.
I‘d also like to thank Inspector Nick Gjorven from Northumbria Police for attending my meeting, and taking the time to answer questions from residents. I’m sure that everyone was pleased to learn about the recent progress being made in tackling crime within our community, and both Nick and myself will also be taking up matters raised further where needed. I will provide a full update on my email newsletter, so please let me know if you’d like to be added to the list.
Furthermore, I’m grateful to the many constituents who returned my paper surveys with feedback on their recent experience of crime and anti-social behaviour. It’s important I always hear directly from you all about your issues and concerns, and my office and I will be responding to everyone in due course.
My next Zoom meeting for constituents will take place in April, and I look forward to speaking with you all again soon.
