Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South

Today I will be observing the silence at 12pm on this National Day of Reflection. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones to this dreadful virus, and with everyone who has been working tirelessly to save lives and keep the country going.
Our community has pulled together at a time when so much has been asked of everyone. I want to pay tribute to the tremendous efforts of local people for their kindness and generosity. I am confident that better days lie ahead for our community and our country.
