I visited community pharmacy Whitfields in Easington Lane to thank Siobhan Todd and the team for their work throughout the pandemic, and hear how they intend to support the NHS and their patients as restrictions ease in the coming weeks.

Staff in community pharmacies have undertaken a range of vital tasks in recent months, from dispensing prescriptions and Covid testing kits, to administering NHS flu vaccinations. They have been the first port of call for many during the pandemic.

I am keen to recognise the important work done in our community pharmacies, and ensure we make best use of them as we aim to recover from this pandemic.
