It was a pleasure to speak at GMB Northern’s Regional Equality Conference today.

In my address I spoke about how the pandemic has affected women, how the industrial relationship between workers and employers has changed, and the opportunities and challenges for the labour movement as the UK economy recovers.

We have to take the lessons from the pandemic on board as we seek to build a fairer society.
