Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South

Holocaust Memorial Day is a time to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi persecution of other groups, and in genocides around the world. All of them were murdered just for who they were.
I want to pay tribute to the extraordinary Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people today about the evil that follows if hate is left to grow unchallenged.
We must learn from the horrors of the past, and do our utmost to keep our society free of hatred.
