Thank you to all of those who attended my coffee morning on crime and anti-social behaviour today in Doxford. And a big thank you to PC Fiona Lawson for joining us.

It was great to see so many people in person after nearly two years of events on Zoom.Our police force are under massive pressure with resources stretched. Northumbria Police have lost over 1,000 officers and PCSOs in recent years.

Labour would strengthen legal protections for victims of anti-social behaviour, put more police on the beat, and introduce new neighbourhood prevention teams to tackle anti-social behaviour at source.
