It was a pleasure to join Labour leader Keir Starmer yesterday at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland.

We learnt about the Foundation of Light’s impressive programme in partnership with Police and Crime Commissioner Kim McGuinness to prevent young people from becoming involved in anti-social behaviour.

Kim’s work shows the difference preventative services and early intervention can make. I know there is still much more to do so that everyone in our community feels safe.

Labour would deliver a secure future for people Sunderland and across England.
