Today I attended the parliamentary launch of the Child of the North report – a stark reminder of the inequalities facing children growing up in the North post pandemic. I’m backing a fairer future for the North’s children.

Every child deserves a fair, equal and bright future – no matter where they are born. I’m proud to show my support for the North’s children and pledge to tackle the harsh inequalities they face.
