It was a pleasure to welcome Jon Ashworth MP, Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, to Houghton and Sunderland South last night.

Yesterday, Jon saw first hand how the cost of living crisis is affecting people in our region. He spoke powerfully about how the last Labour government lifted so many people out of poverty, and how the next Labour government will be on your side doing so once again.
