I recently visited Gentoo Group‘s Holmewood centre, in Sunderland City Centre.

I listened to young people about their experience of the care system and the challenges they’re facing right now.

As Shadow Education Secretary, I’ve pledged to ensure the views of those with care experience shape a fairer system which respects, protects and allows young people to thrive in life.
