Bridget Phillipson Labour Member of Parliament for Houghton and Sunderland South

I recently met with Tobyn Hughes, Managing Director of Transport North East, to discuss local bus services and the campaign to re-open the Leamside Line.
The Tory government’s failure to deliver on their transport promises was a lost opportunity to deliver a once-in-a-century transformation of the North.
There is wide support and a strong economic case for re-opening the Leamside Line. I won’t stop fighting until we have the public transport network we deserve.
