Due to boundary changes, St Anne’s will join the expanded Houghton and Sunderland South constituency at the upcoming election – I’ll be your local Labour candidate.
By way of introduction:
I’ve been MP for Houghton and Sunderland South since 2010, I’ve spent over a decade confronting the Tories on the issues that matter to local people.
I pride myself on being an open and accessible MP and I work hard all year round, last year alone I contacted 30,000 constituents through casework, surveys and knocking on doors.
I’m Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, my constituents’ spokesperson on the Commons frontbench and a strong voice in Parliament, holding the government to account.
If elected as your MP at the next election, I’ll be your local voive on the national stage.
