It was great to visit Houghton Community Nursery School and see their fantastic Early Years setting – thank you to the team for showing me around.
Whilst there, I also learned about their Prem Aware status, awarded by The Smallest Things Charity – for Premature Babies & Their Families. With around 2 to 3 children in every classroom born pre-term, and facing unique social and developmental challenges, awareness really matters.
Every child deserves the best start in life, and it’s fantastic to see such welcoming and inspiring local settings like this, leading the way in supporting our children.
